Round one.
Zero stress.

No basement or big backyard needed. A cleared-out living room and ten minutes of setup is all it takes.

Your living room, now with a game plan.

1. Set up the arena

Move drinks, glassware and loose cables out of the way. Keep stairs, doors and exits free. Agree on the boundaries before anyone picks up a blaster, and leave enough light on to see where you're stepping.

2. Meet your blaster

One blaster and one chest target per player. Fit the strap so it's snug but comfy and the target stays visible. Gamezy uses infrared signals, so nothing is ever fired.

3. Do a warm-up round

Let everyone try the trigger, the reload and the hit buzz before you keep score. Pick a 'freeze' word: when anyone says it, everyone stops. No contact, no climbing, no chasing into other rooms.

4. Keep round one short

Split into even teams and set a three-minute timer. Decide how you win before you start, then swap sides so nobody keeps the best hiding spot.
Round one is practice. The scoreboard starts with round two.

Grown-ups.
Grab a blaster.

Dad has the best team names. Grandma knows the sneakiest hiding spot. Tonight, nobody sits on the couch.

The whole family, one game.

Keep it casual

Try 'one quick game before dinner' instead of planning a whole evening. Phones go in a basket, and anyone who'd rather not play can be the referee.

Shuffle the squads

Pair a confident player with a beginner instead of always doing grown-ups vs kids. New partners every match, so the same two people aren't winning all night.

Match the energy

Smaller room? Play a slower, mostly stationary round with clear boundaries. Keep movement controlled and take a break whenever someone asks for one.

Celebrate more than the score

Shout out the clever plan, the fair restart and the kid who helped a first-timer. Take turns announcing the next round.

Finish on a high

One last match, then snacks or a movie. Giving Gamezy as a gift? Tuck a handwritten 'game night invite' in the box.
Shuffle the teams and the night writes itself.

Party mode.
Birthday edition.

A little structure, a lot of chaos (the good kind). Here's a 30-minute party plan you can copy.

One blaster and one chest target for every active player.

Prep the arena

Test the gear, decide how many kids play at once and mark floor-level boundaries away from stairs, doors and breakables. Snacks get their own zone, and a grown-up runs the rounds.

0–5 min: team names

Guests pick team names. Explain the rules once, for everyone: no contact, no climbing, targets visible, stop on 'freeze'.

5–10 min: practice round

A warm-up with no leaderboard. Show the controls, then let new players ask questions and try again.

10–25 min: battle rounds

Three-minute matches with a one-minute reset and team swap. More guests than sets? Keep a rotation list so nobody sits out twice before everyone has played.

25–30 min: the birthday showdown

The birthday kid picks the last teams and counts down to 'go'. Then blasters down, cake up.
Bonus points: paper team badges and a homemade scoreboard.
